Traveling Merchant Reviews-- UPDATE

  I thought I might give an update on the "Merchant Review Roadtrip". 

Currently, Buster and I are discouraged but have yet to be defeated. I think this deserves a little background, cut to: 

Buster and I have been living in Texarkana, AR for the past 17 years in a pleasant valley(she says sarcastically) of a neighborhood in old downtown. I believe anyone who has lived in my hood for 20 years should get a badge or a T-shirt or something.

Here's a tidbit. 2 years ago I started writing a poem titled Two Doors Down From The Murder House- Katey Perry Stole My Uber- to be continued.

As much as I want to leave this place - I have still learned A LOT about people and a little about life but the most valuable lessons I learned were about myself. I learned I am actually as smart as I give myself credit for. I have an incredibly cumbersome ability to empathize a little too deeply that I must always keep in check. 

I have a strong sense of intuition that I have learned to trust wholeheartedly.

And they tell me I have a kind heart. Whatever that is.

Present day: I don't love the neighborhood but the neighborhood loves me and they can hear it in my voice that I'm not coming back. They are trying to sabotage my truck, doing their best to keep me as far away from gas money as possible- because my truck remains packed and ready to leave on our adventure.

I did get a brand new, funky blue, sleeping bag from my good friend Skinny. Thank you Skinny!
